2009 CHAMPIONS!!!!

Pemberton Tyres have, for several years, sponsored a local Rally Cross driver named Tony Lynch. Pemberton Tyres would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tony on recently becoming this years British Stock Hatch Rally Cross Champion 2009 and also for becoming the British Rally Cross Drivers  Association  Champion. Tony had already clinched the championship with one round remaining but still decided to compete at the last round which was held at Mallory Park. Tony again did not disappoint as he came away with a win in the final extending his championship win further.

Tony has also had many successes in the past which include    coming runner up in 2008  British Stock Hatch Rally Cross Championship  and in   2005,2006 and 2007 was  National MDA Rally Cross Champion (what a lad). 110% and more as always Tony:

Pemberton Tyres will continue to sponsor Tony throughout the  2010 Rally Cross season in addition to their other sponsors: Rye Motors (paintwork), Pristine Wheels (wheel refurbishment), Delmo Salvage, D.E.S. Developments, Browns Builders Merchants, B.L.S. Plastering and Magnum Race Seats. Tony next year has plans to compete in the new Formula Suzuki British Rally Drivers Association Challenge but final decisions are yet to be confirmed. So, it's down to Tony to pull out all the stops and continue bringing home the results in 2010

Good luck Tony.

Alan still loves the buzz of adrenaline, if not by running the garage at an extremely fast yet top quality pace, then by competing in supermoto. With a 19th and a 11th in the first round of the european championship in italy and had a  couple of 6th places in national uk championship.

After a hand injury which Alan suffered at Sport City in June 09 Alan has only just come out of plaster but is still in a wrist support. He has therefore decided to retire from racing and focus on sponsoring his riders and seeking new sponsorship for them also.

Also for 2009, Pemberton Tyres and MW Racing (along with Falcon Tuning (U.S.A.), CP Pistons, andreani group Suspension, EBC brake pads, Rock Oil, salice goggles, alpine boots, Lazer helmets, Michelin (for british events),dunlop (for european events), Beringer brake systems, Enigma Signes, RST leathers and Sigma Clutches) have all teamed up to sponsor and support the MW Supermoto riders with such an array of fantastic  sponsorship.

Good luck to the team of riders, and don't forget to enjoy yourselves at the same time!

MW Racing also have their own website. Take a look on www.mwracing.net.

Continuing  with 2 wheels, another 2009 champion and another rider that Pemberton Tyres supports is Christian Iddon. Christian has just won his 10th British Supermoto Championship with one round still remaining in Kirkistown Ireland next month. Alan has supported Christian for 3 years as he has competed within the FIM World Supermoto Championships, British Supermoto Championship and at several British Superbike rounds throughout the year. Christian is currently 7th within the World Supermoto Championship with only a few points seperating the top 10 with 3 rounds still to go so all is still left to fight for. However, as well as supermoto, Christian has also had good podium positions on a road racing bike in the KTM Cup held at several rounds of the British Superbike Championship.  In 2010, Christian hopes to make the switch and be within the superbike paddock.  With the lasting impressions that he has made throughout the year amoung the road racers and with help and support from Pemberton Tyres and his other sponsors, hopefully this can be made possible.

The racing season hasn't finished yet though for Christian. Christian still has 3 World Supermoto Championship rounds and  the British Supermoto Round in Ireland. Christian also rode at the final round of the British Superbikes at Oulton Park onboard a SMT Sorrymate.com Stock 1000 bike. In order to race on the Sunday Christian had to qualify in the top 32 out of 50 riders. Previous to qualifying Christian had only sat on the bike on two previous occasions, once on a track day earlier that week and a second time in warm up. In qualifying, Christian qualified in a fantastic 14th position on the grid and then had an even better race, going from strength to strength finishing in 6th. Christian left the track with a smile on his face proving in his Stock 1000 debut he already has the speed to be up there with the big names in the paddock. It is exciting to think that with an equal amount of time to other riders on a Stock 1000 just how good he could be.

Pemberton Tyres wishes Christian the best of luck for the rest of the 2009 season and for 2010.
